#BEDM Fail, So what's next for The Lighthearted Wanderer?
So clearly I didn't finish the #BEDM (Blog Every Day in May) topics, I basically stopped the second I hopped a plane to the East Coast for Boston, Brown, and family shenanigans. I can't say I regret it though, since I really had one of the best weeks of 2013 with so many wonderful people:
I went to Harpoon for their brewery tour with the boys almost immediately after I flew into Boston. The tour was alright, a little long and since it only took place in two spots inside the brewery, it felt like a long time of standing and listening. The tasting portion at the end was pretty great though, we each received a small glass and had about 10-15 min to drink as much beer of different kinds as we wanted!
Campus Dance is one of my favorite events at Brown, and this was my first year as an alum attending :). The weather was horrible and it rained and was cold and could have been really miserable, but when you're with people you really care about, it all just seems like fun. And now I can say that I danced in the rain and under the stars with my boy :)
And finally, my cousin's 16th birthday party...a sweet 16 no doubt. After a 6 hour bus and train ride from Providence to Manhattan to North Jersey, I was well rewarded with a new pretty dress from my mom, a stress-free party, and fun company that enjoyed partaking in over 21-refreshments as much as I do.
So what's next for The Lighthearted Wanderer?
A variety of things really...
1) I'm glad I took part in #BEDM, even though I didn't finish it. I was in a real creative rut, but now I feel a little more free-flowing with writing and generally excited to share my thoughts and experiences with the blogging community. That being said, if I find myself in a lull, I'm definitely going to go back to the #BEDM topics I have left and just write it out.
2) With only 2 weeks left working at my first grade classroom, and only 17 days before my trip to Europe with my mom, look out for lots of updates on the goodbye process and the trip-preparation process. It's hard to believe that the school year is almost over!
3) Jeffrey convinced me to that "The Fiction of Relationships" as an online summer course offered by coursera. This means I'll be reading lots of classics and will need an outlet for all my crazy book thoughts and musings on the lectures ;)
I hope that I can keep up the blogging spirit that was simmering during last month's blogging spree. I can't promise it will be an every day in June blog, but I can promise that I'll try to make it interesting and a good read all around. Thanks for sticking with me, and happy June!
