All About Chelsea!

My dog is a funny funny creature. Part white shitzu and part black poodle, she herself is a white fluffy shih-poo but demonstrates a dual personality of sillyness and mopeyness.

My parents got Chelsea from my mom's coworker whose dog just had her first litter of puppies. The coworker was just giving away the puppies to anyone that wanted them, and I had just moved to Japan and my mom found it to be a good opportunity. (Yes, my parents replaced me with a dog.) Since I didn't meet Chelsea for almost half a year, family friends would ask if Chelsea was jealous that another kid moved back home. Honestly, I told them, I think Chelsea just sees me as another parent to spoil her. And still I highly doubt Chelsea has anything to be jealous about.
Even though she's only been around a little less than 2 years, I'm super glad to have a happy silly puppy in our household. She's a great pillow, it's fun to rub her tummy, and she always likes to play catch/keep away with her toys (she hasn't quite mastered the concept of fetch yet). She stays close to me when I'm in the house alone so we both feel a little more protected, she naps on her back like a person, and she has a strange but adorable love for oranges of all kinds. She also loves ripping any white tissue or paper towel sheets into little strips with her teeth, using her two paws as little anchors to hold down the paper. She loves to be carried like a baby and probably doesn't realize that she is a dog half the time, but I totally understand why dogs are man's best friends. I just hope she knows how much we (my family) have loved being with her!
