Favorite Favourite Social Media
"Tell us about your favorite social media channel and why."
Twitter is fun because of the celebrities, and since I don't have many people aware of my twitter, it's easier to just tweet thoughts about random stuff like what I'm watching on TV or reading. Twitter has become a new haven for the status update-esque statements that used to go up on Facebook, but now having coworkers and former students and lots of family friending me on Facebook, I've just been more reluctant to post any status updates.
Without a doubt, I am on Facebook way too often for my own good. It truly is the way to keep up with people I've met over the years near and far away. Facebook really gets me down sometimes though, a combination of feeling good that I kind of know what people are up to, and feeling sad that I wasn't able to keep in better touch with said people. I generally like to use Facebook for photos, photo sharing, and writing on people's walls. I don't really like updating my status unless it's something important.
Instagram is just pure fun to me though. Take about low stress way to socialize...look at however many pictures you want on your feed, press a like button, and be done with it. I think I really like how on Instagram the "Follower Feed" type list of other people's likes is totally separate from my personal feed of pictures. I actually didn't even know the follower feed existed until really recently. Instagram is purely a "I enjoy looking at pictures and don't need to bother with anyone else's business but their pretty pictures" kind of application. Facebook is of course better for posting a group/album of photos together, but Instagram is great for the random moment spontaneity.

I'm still working on some celebrity on actually reply-tweeting something that I tweet to them. If Kobe or Lakerline or Anderson Cooper actually RT something I sent to them...ahhh who knows...
Feel free to follow me on any of the social media :) Happy Thursday!
