Get ready to get hungry!
I love food. I love baking, and I love the idea of cooking but I'm not so good at it.
Here are a few posts about my baking adventures...feel free to comment or message me if you'd like any recipes!
Another Morning Off - Chocolate chip strawberry waffles
Winter Treats - Chocolate chip butterscotch walnut cookies, Garlicy-parmesan stuffed mushrooms, & Pineapple-raisin bread pudding
Hodgepodge - Yellow cupcake w/ cinnamon cream cheese frosting, 3 layer yellow cake with brownie filling
Making It Work - Microwave mac and cheese in a country where cheese is rare!
Cooking in Japan - Microwave brownies in Japan!
Making Macarons (Round 1) - My first okay attempt at macarons
I also absolutely love going out to eat at some nice restaurants. I haven't done it nearly enough in LA, but on the East Coast I've definitely been to a couple really nice places. My absolute favorite in Boston (so far)...Neptune Oyster!

For the seafood lover, no doubt. Everything from the oyster shooters to the incredibly amazing lobster roll, I just remember having a delightful time eating here.
Ordering oysters is no easy task! There were over 20 different oysters with their own descriptions and prices, and you just mark which ones you'd like, and they arrive so fresh and ready to be devoured. Nom nom nom.
Next up was Clam Chowder appetizer (made fresh to order). I loved it. Not too thick or overly creamy. The clams were cut into small pieces but you still knew what they were. Jeffrey wished there were more potatoes in the soup but that's not a big thing for me. Even with the warmer weather now, just thinking about this soup makes me want it!
Next up, "Neptunes on Piggyback": crispy oysters, Berkshire pig, golden raisin confiture, pistachio aioli.
We had no idea what to expect! It was crispy and savory and I remember wanting more of the toast on the bottom, but it was definitely a great contrast for what was coming next...
THE LOBSTER ROLL!!!!!
We actually just split one between the two of us...and after all the food we had had earlier, that was probably as much as we could eat! Without the soup and other entree, I definitely could have eaten a whole roll by myself :).
We ordered it hot with butter, and the soft roll just sopped it all up and it got messy and delightful and definitely worthy of a re-visit. Maybe next time I go to Boston!
Do you have any restaurant recommendations? I'm hitting up London, Paris, some parts of Germany, and Italy (Venice, Rome, Florence) over the summer, and would definitely love some recommendations! :)
